After 4 exciting weeks of voting for Broker of the Year 2014, traders, investors and investors have decided who their favorite brokers are in these 7 categories:
In the main category "Online Broker", comdirect was able to repeat its success from the previous year and once again secure the title of "Online Broker of the Year 2014". The Nuremberg-based broker Cortal Consors was able to defend 2nd place. There was a change in 3rd place: after coming 5th last year, flatex was able to narrowly overtake OnVista Bank and sBroker this time.
In the certficate brokers, DAB Bank achieved first place relatively clearly ahead of OnVista Bank and flatex, thus repeating last year's victory.
It was exciting in the category Daytrade Broker - especially the 2nd place was hard fought between ViTrade and flatex. This was all the more interesting, because until recently both brokers came from the same house and now go separate ways. In the end the Berlin broker ViTrade could secure the vice title in front of the Kulmbach broker flatex. As in 2013, 1st place went to Cortal Consors.
In the CFD brokers, there were also a number of lead changes until in the last third of the election Gekko Global Markets was able to conquer the lead and did not relinquish it until the end. This was the first time Gekko Global Markets won this title. Second place went narrowly to WH Selfinvest ahead of CMC Markets.
In the futures broker category, there was a long neck-and-neck race between Cortal Consors and WH Selfinvest. In the end, however, last year's winner Cortal Consors had to settle for second place, so that WH Selfinvest was able to win this title for the first time. Third place went to the broker Lynx from Berlin, which has now been able to place itself right at the top for the umpteenth time.
DAB Bank scored a clear start-to-finish victory in the funds & ETF broker category. Here, the Munich-based company left no stone unturned and clearly prevailed over its competitors. Second place went to OnVista Bank and third place to sBroker.
In the forex brokers, on the other hand, there were frequent changes in the lead. Overall, this category was probably particularly competitive. From first to sixth place, all Forex brokers were relatively close to each other. In the end, however, GKFX was able to secure the title by a razor-thin margin ahead of Admiral Markets and last year's winner JFD Brokers.
